BJP used Maliwal as pawn to entrap Kejriwal accuses AAP

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of hatching a conspiracy to entrap Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday alleged that its MP Swati Maliwal was used as a pawn by the BJP.
After these allegations, Maliwal slammed her party for taking a U-turn in her matter and accused the party of making efforts to save a "goon.”.
Maliwal claimed that the individual is threatening the party, vowing to expose secrets if arrested.
Addressing the press conference regarding Maliwal’s claims of alleged misbehavior by Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav Kumar, AAP’s senior leader Atishi said, “Swati Maliwal was used as a pawn in the plot, which aimed to falsely implicate the CM.”
“Ever since Kejriwal has come out of jail, the BJP has been furious. The BJP hatched a conspiracy, and Maliwal was made the face of it. Maliwal reached the CM’s residence without any appointment, as she wanted to accuse the Chief Minister, but the CM was not there at that time, and he was saved. After this, allegations were made against Bibhav Kumar,” Atishi alleged.
A video that surfaced today has exposed the truth of Swati Maliwal's allegations, Atishi said, asserting, ”The video of the drawing room of the Chief Minister's residence that surfaced has exposed Swati Maliwal's lies in front of the entire country.”
Pointed towards a copy of the complaint filed by Swati Maliwal, Atishi said, "Maliwal, in her complaint to Delhi police, said that she was brutally beaten up, punched, kicked, and her head was injured as her head hit the table. She has written that her clothes were torn and the buttons of her shirt were torn.”
The Delhi Cabinet Minister further mentioned that the video that has come out today shows the truth, which is exactly opposite to what she claimed.
Atishi also shared that Bibhav Kumar filed his complaint against Swati Maliwal with the Delhi Police today. In that complaint, he has very clearly mentioned the sequence of events that happened on May 13.
The minister alleged that Maliwal forcibly entered the CM's residence without an appointment. She was taken to the waiting room outside the CM residence and told that she did not have an appointment. After sitting in the waiting room for some time, she forcefully entered the main building of the CM residence, where the CM and his family live, and sat in the drawing room there. There she said, 'CM ko bulao, Abhi Bulao, Mujhe abhi milna hai.’ (Call the CM, call him right now; I want to meet him right now).”
“Swati Maliwal is a Rajya Sabha MP; does she not know how to get an appointment from the Chief Minister?” Atishi questioned.
Meanwhile, in a social media post, Maliwal said, “The leaders who joined the party yesterday declared a 20-year-old worker a BJP agent. Two days ago, the party accepted the truth in the PC, and today it has taken a U-turn.”
“This goon is threatening the party; if he gets arrested, he will reveal all the secrets. That is why he is roaming around in Lucknow and everywhere seeking shelter,” Maliwal claimed.
“Today, under his pressure, the party gave in, and to save a goon, my character was questioned by the entire party. No problem; I have been fighting alone for the women of the entire country, and I will fight for myself too. Do character assassination as much as possible; the truth will come out when the time comes.” Maliwal added.
