BJP woman leader accused of assaulting hotel staff in Durgapur, police intervene after complaint

Asansol, May 12 (UNI) Local BJP leader of Durgapur, Mita Chatterjee Mahato along with her followers, allegedly stormed inside a hotel in the City Centre of Durgapur and vandalised and even beaten up some staff, while trying to reclaim the private property.
The Hotel Park Prime Plaza was purchased by the owner of the Sarada Group, Sudipta Sen, long back from the Tata Group in the City Centre of Durgapur. Later, the property was attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), amongst many other properties of the Sarada Chit Fund Scam-related accused throughout the state.
The ED gave the property to run on a lease. But at present, the property was operated by a local hotelier, after the license period of Mahato was over, sources said.
