Bulldozer Action on Mateen Patel’s Properties : “Law Should Be Equal for Everyone,” Says VBA Spokesperson

Ch. Sambhajinagar, May 13 (UNI) Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) on Wednesday strongly criticised the bulldozer action carried out against properties linked to AIMIM corporator Mateen Patel, stating that while political differences may exist, “wrong actions cannot be justified”.
In an official statement issued following the demolition drive, VBA state spokesperson Tayyab Zafar said that if any criminal allegations exist against Mateen Patel, the matter should be investigated strictly according to law and decided by the courts through due legal process.
However, he stated that demolishing the properties of a citizen or family through bulldozer action without what he termed “complete legal procedure” and adequate opportunity amounted not to the rule of law, but “rule by force”.
