Central University of Himachal Pradesh’s National Ranking Matter of Pride, Says Shanta Kumar

Dharamshala, June 8 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and former union Minister Shanta Kumar today hailed the achievement of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), Dharamshala, for securing the 9th position among universities in India, describing it as a matter of great pride for the state.
In a statement, Shanta Kumar said CUHP had become the first university from Himachal Pradesh to attain such a high national ranking. He congratulated Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal, along with the university’s faculty, officers and staff, for the achievement.
However, he expressed concern over the delay in the development of the university’s main campus at Dharamshala. He said that even after 14 years of its establishment, the university was yet to get its permanent campus in Dharamshala due to the lack of support from the state government.
