Centre assures fertiliser supply to Telangana following CM Revanth Reddy’s appeal

New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 9 (UNI) Responding positively to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s request, the Union Government has assured that there will be no shortage of fertilisers for farmers in the state during the crucial Kharif season.
Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers JP Nadda, gave this assurance during a meeting with a delegation led by CM Revanth Reddy in Delhi on Tuesday. The Chief Minister urged the Centre to ensure an uninterrupted supply of urea and other essential fertilisers, especially for the peak agricultural months of July and August.
Taking immediate note of the request, Minister Nadda directed officials of the Fertiliser Department to ensure sufficient allocations to Telangana. He also emphasised the need for the state government to monitor fair and timely distribution of urea across districts and prevent any misuse for non-agricultural purposes.
