CFA institute hosts finance industry network roundtable in Pune

Pune Sept 12 (UNI) The CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals, hosted its Finance Industry Network (FIN) Roundtable here in Maharashtra, bringing together senior faculty from leading universities and colleges.
The event focused on aligning finance education with the fast-changing needs of the investment management industry, bridging skill gaps, improving students’ employability, and strengthening academia industry collaboration.
Speakers highlighted the CFA Program’s role in delivering world-class knowledge and preparing students for careers in investment management. Representatives from Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School, MIT-WPU, and DES Pune University shared insights on how such initiatives help students learn global best practices and build competitive skills.

298 villages , over 32,000 families relocated from tiger reserve core areas: NTCA report

Nagpur, July 15 (UNI): Only 298 villages and 32,198 families have so far been voluntarily relocated from the critical tiger habitats (core areas) of India's tiger reserves, while nearly 98,000 families continue to live within these protected zones, according to the National Tiger Conservation Authority's (NTCA) latest STRIDES 2026 report.
