CM unveils tourism push in Meghalaya, homestays to serve as Games village

Shillong Oct 4 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has launched a community-led tourism infrastructure scheme to position Meghalaya as a hub of responsible human-centred experiences for every visitor.
Embracing the spirit of World Tourism Day 2025 and its focus on inclusive and sustainable tourism, Sangma unveiled the 'One Connect Meghalaya Tourism Helpline' and the new website for Meghalaya Tourism.
The new revamped website is a one-click gateway, which serves as a unified platform for every traveller's needs.

Vaishnaw directs authorities to expedite New Garia-Airport metro construction

Kolkata, June 6 (UNI) Accusing the preceding Trinamool Congress government of stalling development work, Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday directed the city metro railway authorities to expedite the work relating to the under-construction New Garia-Airport Metro,
The Minister, who inspected the chingrihata area where the girder launching works were completed recently, took on the former TMC regime for keeping the project stalled for a long period.
