COCOMI appeals to Governor to restore peace, act against provocateur

Imphal, Feb 17 (UNI) Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), an apex body of Manipur civil society appealed to the Manipur Governor A B Bhalla on Monday to intervene in addressing the ongoing crisis that has severely impacted the political, social, and economic stability of Manipur.
A statement from Raj Bhawan said the Governor heard the concerns raised by COCOMI and asked them to cooperate with the Government in the run-up to restore harmony.
A team of COCOMI led by Khuraijam Athouba, Convenor COCOMI submitted a memorandum to the Governor on Monday informing him that the people of Manipur expect the establishment of a duly elected government within this month to ensure democratic governance and effective decision-making.
