Gorakhpur, Apr 18 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that the biggest identity of a doctor is his compassion and If he lacks compassion, then a thought should be given whether he deserves to be called a doctor or not.
Addressing the gathering after performing the Bhoomi Pujan of Vishram Sadan (night shelter) with a capacity of 500 people in the campus of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur, the CM said, "A doctor's identity is from compassion. The compassion of a doctor can cure half the illness of a serious patient."
He advised the doctors of medical institutions to avoid the tendency of unnecessarily referring patients to higher centres and develop the habit of taking risks in providing critical care to the patient.
