Conceding with grace, ideological battle continues: Oppn VP candidate Sudershan Reddy after poll defeat

New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) Opposition INDIA Bloc vice presidential candidate Justice (Retd.) B. Sudershan Reddy today accepted his defeat with equanimity, expressing his continued faith in the democratic process.
B. Sudershan Reddy lost to the BJP-led NDA alliance candidate CP Radhakrishnan in the VP poll during the day.
"Today, the MPs have rendered their verdict in the election for the office of the Vice President of India. I humbly accept this outcome with an abiding faith in the democratic processes of our great Republic," he said in a statement issued shortly after the declaration of results.
