Conditions favourable for cessation of Northeast Monsoon rains in next 2 days: Met

Amaravati, Jan 26 (UNI) Conditions are becoming favourable for cessation of Northeast Monsoon rains over Tamil Nadu, adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Puducherry, Karaikal Kerala, Mahe and South Interior Karnataka in 2 days, Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

A daily weather report here, said that shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.

Bengaluru, Feb 17 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Cooperation KN Rajanna on Monday dismissed Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s remarks on the alleged misuse of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s name, stating, "Who cares about warnings?"
Addressing the media, Rajanna asserted that Karnataka Congress President Shivakumar’s statement was not a warning but merely an expression of opinion. "We have not misused anyone’s name. Let him not misuse the name of the AICC. By invoking the AICC for everything, he should not misuse it," he said.
