Cong MLA accused of land grab in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jan 26 (UNI) A complaint has been lodged with the Karnataka Lokayukta against Congress MLA, Iqbal Hussain, for allegedly acquiring a large tract of land in Kanakapura taluk through "misuse of power".
Some villagers of Honganidoddi in Ramanagara district have accused Hussain of violating the Land Reforms Act, which aims to safeguard the rights of agricultural landowners.
Hussain allegedly purchased 67 acres and 30 guntas of land in Honganidoddi under "questionable circumstances", with some local farmers claiming they have been cultivating the land parcel for over five decades.
