Congress activists clash with Police while attempting to enter Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar, Mar 25 (UNI) A scuffle broke out between security forces and Congress activists on Tuesday night outside the Odisha State Assembly as the latter attempted to enter the premises in protest against the suspension of 12 party MLAs by Speaker Surama Padhy.
The suspended MLAs continued their sit-in protest inside the well of the House, even after the Speaker adjourned proceedings for the day following disruptions and multiple adjournments.
Authorities had imposed Section 163 of BNS near the Assembly and prevented Congress leaders from entering the premises. In response, Youth Congress and Chhatra Congress leaders and activists blocked the road and protested in front of the Assembly.
