Congress Alleges BJP-ECI Collusion in Rajya Sabha Polls, Calls Natarajan Nomination Rejection ‘Seat Theft’

‎New Delhi, Jun 12 (UNI) ‎The Congress on Friday launched a sharp attack on the BJP and the Election Commission of India, alleging collusion in the recent Rajya Sabha elections and claiming that the rejection of senior party leader Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination in Madhya Pradesh was part of a deliberate effort to help the BJP secure a third Upper House seat despite lacking the required legislative numbers.

In a detailed press statement, the All India Congress Committee described the June 2026 Rajya Sabha elections as “a story of two candidates” — one being “a billionaire friend of the Prime Minister and a representative of corporate interests,” and the other, Natarajan, “coming from an ordinary family and representing the values of the Constitution.”
