Congress gears up for poll-bound states, strategy for Assam to be formulated in Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) The Congress party has started preparing for the upcoming assembly elections in various states and leaders from Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and West Bengal-- the states going to polls--are being called to Delhi from January 16.
Congress does not want to leave any stone unturned in the Assam assembly elections. That is why the party’s senior leaders are being given significant responsibilities in Assam. According to sources, a meeting has been convened by Congress on January 16 at Indira Bhavan in Delhi to discuss the Assam assembly elections.
The meeting will include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, National General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, Assam Congress in-charge Jitendra Singh, Assam Pradesh President Gaurav Gogoi, and some other senior leaders of the state.
