Congress woman MLAs join row on issue of "hidden - extra cameras" in Raj Assembly

Jaipur, Sept 15 (UNI) The Congress woman MLAs in Rajasthan today have joined in the political row to condemn strongly breach of their privacy in the state assembly through the hidden and extra cameras in the House. Two party members Shimla Devi Nayak (Anoopgarh) and Geeta Barwad (Bhopalgarh) held a press conference at the Congress state headquarters here to endorse the charges of "spying" on the Opposition MLAs in the assembly while the House was in adjourned state.
"How they have attained the right to breach in our privacy by recording/hearing our conversation when House was adjourned. In conversations in the assembly hall, when the House is adjourned we used to talk on personal matters, issues related to family and the party, Simla Devi said. "One of the two hidden cameras is installed over my row in the opposition benches where three more women party colleagues do sit with me. The camera is just above our heads and it is so high powered that it can record the sound of drop of a pen down on the floor. The resolution power of lenses is so high that it would take photograph of smaller thing, even if, we write a word on a paper slip camera would instantly snap a photo".
The million dollar question is why these hidden extra cameras were installed when 9 cameras were already there for official live telecast of the House proceedings, where the access/control of these cameras was provided ; whom control was provided to ? This have made all of us woman members uncomfortable and unsecured, this can not be allowed, we would not sit like a mute spectator, would protest until the extra hidden cameras are removed, Nayak and Barwad asserted. On question why the woman MLAs did not raise this issue until this had taken dimension of a big controversy, they said "We had spoken to the LoP Tika Ram Jully and PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra as soon as we came to know about these cameras. They had taken the issue at their level and later too we did what they directed us to do.
