COP30: India urges developed nations to honour commitment

Belem (Brazil), Nov 18 (UNI) India has urged developed countries to demonstrate greater climate ambition and honour their commitments in terms of climate financing.
Addressing a high-level session of COP30 on Monday, union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav called for implementation and delivery with regard to the promises made by the developed countries earlier.
The Minister asserted, “Developed countries must reach net zero far earlier than current target dates and deliver new, additional, and concessional climate finance at a scale of trillions, not billions”.

Iranian state media declares Strait of Hormuz to remain closed to all commercial vessels amid tensions with US

Tehran, Jul 15 (UNI) Iran's state broadcaster IRIB reiterating the Islamic Republic's stance on Wednesday said that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to all commercial traffic, claiming that two vessels attempting to transit the waterway without coordinating with Iranian authorities were intercepted and forced to stop after warning shots were fired.
