CPI(M) hails Delhi HC verdict quashing Newsclick case as “vindication of independent journalism”

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today welcomed the Delhi High Court’s decision to quash the FIR filed by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police against news portal Newsclick and its Editor-in-Chief Prabir Purkayastha, along with the subsequent Enforcement Directorate case, calling it a "significant vindication of independent journalism".

‎In a post on X, CPI(M) general secretary M A Baby said the High Court had delivered a strong indictment of the proceedings against the outlet and its founder-editor.
