CPI seeks dismissal of Jeevesh Mishra amidst controversy

Patna, Sep 16 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) today demanded that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dismiss Urban Development and Housing Minister Jeevesh Kumar Mishra from the cabinet.
CPI State Secretary Ramnaresh Pandey said that a court in Rajasthan has convicted Minister Jeevesh Kumar Mishra for manufacturing and selling spurious medicines. At the same time, he has been accused of assaulting journalist Dilip Kumar Sahni alias Diwakar in Singhwara, Darbhanga district, when the latter asked him questions. Pandey alleged that Mishra has no moral right to remain in office.
He further said that based on the FIR lodged by journalist Dilip Kumar Sahni alias Diwakar at the Singhwara police station in Darbhanga, Mishra should be arrested immediately, and the Chief Minister must remove such a person from the cabinet. He added that while in office, Mishra could influence the investigation.
