Dairy sector in India has become the fastest-growing sector in the world

Rohtak, Oct 3 (UNI) Dairy sector in India has become the fastest-growing sector in the world and has grown by 70 per cent during the past 11 years, Home Minister Amit Shah said today.
About eight 8 crore farmers have joined the dairy sector and the country's milk processing capacity is 66 million litres per day, which is targeted to reach 100 million litres per day by 2028-29, he said while inaugurating a Dairy plant here and pointed out that India is moving towards self-reliance in dairy sector by accelerating dairy plant construction and R&D three times.
Shah said India’s dairy sector has grown by 70 per cent in the last 11 years and the dairy sector has become the fastest-growing dairy sector in the world.
