Dehra climbs to 4th position in CCTNS ranking in HP

Dharamshala, Aug 8 (UNI) In a major leap in digital policing, Dehra district has risen from 13th to 4th position in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) ranking among all districts of Himachal Pradesh.
According to Superintendent of Police Mayank Chaudhry, the achievement reflects the district’s commitment to technology-driven and transparent policing. The improvement is credited to rigorous training of personnel, appointment of dedicated officers for data management, regular audits, and effective use of analytics for crime prevention and investigation.
The Dehra police force has focused on streamlining data entry, ensuring real-time updates of crime records, and enhancing response mechanisms. Future plans include digital infrastructure upgrades, advanced training modules, and greater community engagement to strengthen preventive policing and crime reporting.

Rajdhani Exp claims life

Betul (MP), Jan 18 (UNI) An unidentified person was hit by the Rajdhani Express on the Parsoda track in the vicinity of this district's Amla Station, officials of Railway Proteection Force(RPF) said on Sunday.
The person's severed head got caught in the locomotive and was carried about 4 km to Amla where it was extricated with the help of Railway personnel. The rest of the body was found on the scene.
