Delhi Assembly Speaker Declares 2022 'Faansi Ghar' Fake, Orders Probe

New Delhi: Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Thursday said the "Faansi Ghar" (gallows) installed in the Assembly complex in 2022 was historically inaccurate and ordered its removal.

The decision follows a review of archival records and consultations with historians, which found no evidence of gallows ever existing on the premises.

Court clears Medanta transfer for Wangchuk; Centre wants him kept away from protest

New Delhi, Jul 21 (UNI) Nearly 11 days after activist Sonam Wangchuk was forcibly removed by Delhi Police from his protest site and admitted to Safdarjung Hospital on grounds of "health concerns," the Delhi High Court on Tuesday cleared his transfer to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, ruling that he requires continuous medical supervision as he continues his indefinite hunger strike.
