Delhi CM welcomes SC nod for green firecrackers, urges people to use them responsibly

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today expressed gratitude to Supreme Court for granting permission for the use of green firecrackers in the city on Diwali following the state government's special request.
The Chief Minister attributed the apex court's decision to respect for sentiments of the public and their enthusiasm for Diwali celebrations She said it also reflects a balanced approach towards environmental protection.
Following the conditional approval by the top court, the CM appealed to the people to use the green crackers with responsibility and restraint, adhering to the guidelines by the apex court. She assured the Delhi government's commitment to the vision of a clean and green Delhi, while respecting the sentiments of the people.
