Delhi pollution case: SC directs time-bound implementation of CAQM’s long-term measures

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court today took note of a status report submitted by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) outlining long-term measures to tackle the continuing air pollution crisis in the Delhi-NCR region.
A three-judge Bench, comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. M. Pancholi, issued directions for the implementation of the recommendations made by the Commission.
The Bench recalled that on January 6 it had declined to grant further time for stakeholder consultations on issues relating to tolls and had directed the CAQM to independently examine the matter.

Two fresh arrests in NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case; CBI probe reveals ₹10-12 lakh deal for every leaked paper

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested two more accused for their alleged involvement in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, taking the total number of arrests to seven.
The accused have been identified as Dhananjay Lokhanda from Ahilyanagar and Manisha Waghmare. The federal probe agency also conducted searches at 14 locations across the country in the last 24 hours.

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on the November 2019 Sabarimala reference concerning the interplay between Article 25 (freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of religion), Article 26 (freedom of religious denominations to manage their own affairs), and Article 14 (right to equality before law), as well as the scope of judicial interference in religious affairs.
