Derek O'Brien launches 'Morning Walk' episode highlighting Bengal's tech talent

‎New Delhi, March 3 (UNI) ‎Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien has released the 11th episode of his digital series Morning Walk, posing a pointed question about some of the world's leading technology companies and their connection to eastern India.
‎In the latest episode titled "MORNING WALK #11," O'Brien asks viewers: "What is common to TCS, IBM, Wipro, Cognizant, Globsyn, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Capgemini, L&T Mindtree and HCL Technologies?" He invites audiences to find the answer in a one-minute video shared via a YouTube link.
‎The companies referenced include major global and Indian IT firms such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), IBM, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Capgemini, LTIMindtree, and HCL Technologies, along with Kolkata-based IT training and services firm Globsyn.
‎While the video's answer centers on their presence and operations in West Bengal, O'Brien uses the episode to spotlight the state's growing information technology ecosystem.
According to the TMC leader, the sector has seen steady expansion in infrastructure, employment generation and global investment over the past decade.
‎West Bengal's IT hub in Salt Lake's Sector V and the New Town area in Kolkata host campuses and offices of several multinational firms.
The state government has often highlighted policies aimed at promoting startups, IT parks and skill development initiatives to strengthen its position as an emerging technology destination.
‎O'Brien's Morning Walk series, shared regularly on social media, blends short commentary with data-driven observations on governance, economy and social issues. With Episode 11, the TMC MP continues his effort to communicate political messaging through concise digital content aimed at younger and urban audiences.
