Dhaka terms New Delhi's comments on holding of elections, minorities as 'unwarranted'

Dhaka, Mar 13 (UNI) Bangladesh has termed the recent remarks by New Delhi regarding the holding of elections, the overall law and order situation, and the situation of the minority Hindu community, as "unwarranted" and tantamount to "interference" in another country's domestic affairs.
Foreign ministry spokesperson Mohammad Rafiqul Alam during the ministry's weekly briefing said Bangladesh has taken note of comments made by India's External Affairs Ministry (MEA) spokesperson on March 7.
"Bangladesh firmly believes these issues are entirely its internal affairs, and such remarks are unwarranted and tantamount to interference in another country's domestic matters," he said, according to Bangladesh dailies.
