Dharamshala bans paragliding, aerial activities during India-Afghanistan ODI

Dharamshala, Jun 11 (UNI) The district administration has imposed a ban on paragliding and all other aerial activities in and around Dharamshala ahead of the One-Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and Afghanistan scheduled to be held at the HPCA Stadium on June 13.
Issuing the order, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Kangra at Dharamshala, Shilpi Bekta, said the restriction has been imposed in view of security considerations and public interest.
She said both teams participating in the match will arrive in Dharamshala on June 11 and will take part in practice sessions before the fixture. To ensure the safety and security of players, officials and spectators, paragliding and all other aerial activities have been prohibited in the HPCA Stadium area and its surrounding regions from June 11 until the conclusion of the match on June 13.

Jaipur, Jul 13 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court on Monday dismissed petitions against the "encroachment" demolition drive being carried out by authorities in the border belt of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar and Bikaner, holding that "the issue of National Security is Supreme (paramount)".
Dismissing the petitions, a Single Bench of Justice Sameer Jain held that normally followed procedural rules of natural justice can be relaxed or dropped to the demands of national security.
