Dr Neelam Gorhe slams opposition parties for spreading false narratives about 'Ladki Bahin' yojana

Pune, July 6 (UNI) Deputy Chairperson of Maharashtra Legislative Council, Dr Neelam Gorhe, today came down heavily on the opposition parties for allegedly spreading false narratives and rumours about the state government’s ambitious 'Ladki Bahin' (dear sister) scheme, claiming they are attempting to mislead women across the state.
She was speaking at inauguration of the Shiv Sena’s public outreach office in Yerawada, Janatanagar and Navi Khadki.
Highlighting the impact of the “Ladki Bahan” scheme, Dr Gorhe said thst Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched this initiative to support women financially in their daily expenses, however, the opposition has stooped to spreading deliberate misinformation about the scheme, she alleged and noted that despite this, the public did not fall for their propaganda.
