Dropping Kohli's catch cost us: Abhishek Nayar

Raipur, May 14 (UNI) Dropping Virat Kohli in a run chase can prove costly for any opposition. On Wednesday night, three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders learned that the hard way, with head coach Abhishek Nayar admitting the missed opportunity proved decisive in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's six-wicket win in Raipur.
Chasing 193, RCB rode on a Kohli's unbeaten 105 to move to the top of the IPL points table. The veteran batter, who came into the game after back-to-back ducks, looked in complete control throughout the innings and punished KKR after being dropped on 21.
Reflecting on the missed opportunities, Nayar admitted KKR paid heavily for letting Kohli off early in the chase. "When you drop Virat Kohli, especially in a chase, it becomes very difficult," Nayar said in the post-match press conference.
