Drunk cop in one slipper, one lady's sandal hits two scooters in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, May 15 (UNI) A Chandigarh Police head constable, allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, hit two Activa scooters in an accident late Friday night, leaving one person injured with a fractured arm, officials said.
The accused, identified as head constable Jaipal, was posted on attachment with the Municipal Corporation, officials said. According to eyewitnesses, he was driving a Hyundai Venue car when he first hit a scooter rider and fled the scene, only to strike another two-wheeler during his attempt to escape.
Videos and local accounts suggest that when pulled out of the vehicle, the accused attempted to run away and appeared heavily intoxicated, wearing mismatched footwear, one lady's sandal and one slipper, raising further suspicion about his condition at the time of the incident.
