DST Secy inaugurates India’s National Hub for Quantum Communication at IIT-Madras

Chennai, Dec 10 (UNI) Department of Science & Technology (DST) Secretary Prof. Abhay Karandikar on Wednesday virtually inaugurated India’s National Hub for Quantum Communication - the IITM C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation.
This has been established under National Quantum Mission of the DST.
The inauguration underscored the national importance of advancing quantum secure communication technologies and strengthening India’s quantum infrastructure.

Woman killed, 18 hurt in Hydrogen gas cylinder blast in temple fest, Stalin announces solatium

Chennai, Jan 20 (UNI) One woman was killed and 18 others sustained injurieis when
the Hydrogen gas cylinder used to fill air in balloons exploded during a Temple festival
at Thenpennai riverbed at Manalurpettai village in Kallakurichi district of Tamil Nadu,
even as Chief Minister M K Stalin announced a solatium to the families of the victims.
