EAM Jaishankar meets with counterparts from many nations on Raisina sidelines

New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday met with the foreign ministers of a number of nations on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue, including Ukraine, the Maldives, Nepal, and the Philippines.
He also met the UK NSA Jonathan Powell.
In posts on X, he wrote:
“Met UK NSA Jonathan Powell at #Raisina2025.
“Exchanged views on bilateral, regional and global security issues.”
He met the foreign minister of Nepal Arzu Rana Deuba.
“Pleased to meet FM Nepal @Arzuranadeuba today.
“Discussed various facets of our bilateral cooperation.”
The Nepal FM posted: “A highly fruitful interaction with H.E. @DrSJaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue.
“H.E. Jaishankar and I took stock of bilateral ties, discussing ongoing engagements across sectors and identifying avenues for enhancing people-to-people and diplomatic exchanges.
“I expressed my appreciation for India’s Neighborhood First Policy and conveyed Nepal’s continued prioritization of relations with India.”
On his meeting with the Maldives FM Abdulla Khaleel, he posted:
“Glad to meet FM @abkhaleel of Maldives in New Delhi today.
“Reviewed the progress of our bilateral cooperation.”
The Maldives FM posted: “Very pleased to meet my dear friend, Minister @DrSJaishankar, today in Delhi.
“We discussed development cooperation between #Maldives and #India and explored ways to further expand our collaboration in areas of mutual interest.”
On his meeting with the Deputy PM and Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, he posted:
“A pleasure interacting with DPM & FM @Xavier_Bettel of Luxembourg.
“Spoke about UN reform, Ukraine and the India - EU partnership.”
He also met with the Philippines Foreign Minister Enrique Manalo.
“Welcomed @SecManalo at #Raisina2025.
“Had a wide - ranging discussion on connectivity, maritime, infrastructure and deepening our ASEAN partnership.”
The EAM also met with the Ukraine FM Andrii Sybiha.
“Pleased to meet FM Ukraine @andrii_sybiha on sideline of #Raisina2025.
“Appreciated his sharing the Ukrainian assessment of the peace negotiations.
“Today’s inauguration of new Consulate General of Ukraine in Mumbai and signing of protocol agreement on visa - free travel for officials will further our bilateral engagement.”
The Ukraine FM posted:
“We had a meaningful meeting with @DrSJaishankar and a detailed conversation about the path to peace.
“I praised Dr. Jaishankar's efforts to organize the 10th edition of @RaisinaDialogue, which provides an excellent platform for global dialogue.
“At the beginning of our meeting, we officially inaugurated Ukraine’s Consulate General in Mumbai.
“Even during wartime, we are expanding our diplomatic presence in India. This demonstrates our willingness to increase bilateral trade, cooperation, and dialogue.
“India's technological advancements are impressive. With Ukraine's war-driven innovation and know-how, the technological cooperation between our countries has a lot of potential.”
EAM also interacted with the FM of Peru Elmer Schialer.
“A pleasure interacting with FM Elmer Schialer Salcedo of Peru today.
“Discussed avenues for deepening our bilateral political, economic and infrastructure cooperation, and widening our multilateral engagement.
“Also witnessed an exchange of agreement on information exchange and documentation between National Archives of India and General Archives of Peru.“
On his meeting with the Thailand FM Maris Sangiampongsa, he posted:
“Great meeting FM @AmbPoohMaris of Thailand in New Delhi today.
“Had a productive exchange on our digital, connectivity and food security cooperation, as well as our BIMSTEC partnership.”
The EAM also met with the FM of Antigua and Barbuda Chet Greene.
“A good conversation with FM Chet Greene of Antigua & Barbuda on #Raisina2025 sidelines.
“Spoke about our cooperation in health, education, sports and capacity building.”
