ECI Telangana delegation interacts with KU Leuven on electoral systems during Belgium visit

Hyderabad, Jan 13 (UNI) As part of an official study visit to Belgium, a delegation from the Election Commission of India (ECI), Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, held a high-level interaction with KU Leuven University to exchange views on electoral systems and democratic processes.
The meeting focused on comparative perspectives on election management in India and Belgium. The Dean and senior faculty of KU Leuven’s Department of Social Sciences made detailed presentations on Belgium’s electoral architecture, voting procedures, institutional safeguards and key challenges in electoral administration.
In response, the Indian delegation presented an overview of India’s electoral framework, highlighting the scale, diversity and complexities involved in conducting elections in the world’s largest democracy.
