ED attaches Rs 700.27 Cr assets linked to late Iqbal Mirchi & family

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Mumbai Zonal Office, today said it has attached immovable properties worth Rs. 700.27 crore in a case related to late Iqbal Mirchi and his family members.
The attached assets include three prime properties — Rabia Mansion, Marium Lodge and Sea View — situated in Worli, Mumbai, worth approximately Rs. 497 crore, along with overseas properties in Dubai worth around Rs. 203.27 crore.
The ED initiated the investigation on the basis of multiple First Information Reports registered by Mumbai Police, including at M.R.A. Marg Police Station, against late Iqbal Mohammad Memon alias Iqbal Mirchi under various sections of the IPC, Arms Act, TADA and NDPS Act.

Delhi: action continues on encroachments, illegal constructions

New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) Delhi Government’s strict campaign against illegal constructions, encroachments and violations of building safety norms continued across the capital on Sunday. A total of 130 sites across the city’s districts were inspected by the revenue department, and accordingly notices were issued to them, while sealing and required actions were taken at several places.
