Elder son of ex-BSP MLA commits suicide in Auraiya

Auraiya (UP), Sep 8 (UNI) A 45-year-old elder son of former MLA Mohar Singh Ambadi today committed suicide by hanging himself in his house in Babarpur town of Ajitmal area of Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh, according to the police sources.
Police sources said that Bhim Ratan Ambadi, the elder son of the former MLA, was suffering from mental illness for the last 15 years and was undergoing treatment. "Mohar Singh Ambadi was elected MLA of the area from Ajitmal assembly constituency on a BSP ticket in 1996," they said.
Police sources said that the incident took place in the afternoon, when former MLA Mohar Singh was on the terrace of the house with his wife and younger son. "Meanwhile, his elder son Bhim Ratan hanged himself by tying a dupatta to the fan in the room below. When his wife Sandhya came down from the roof with her daughter Isha and son Akash, they saw Bhim Ratan hanging from the noose," they said.
