Emergency landing by AI flight in Varanasi, paper with 'bomb' written on it found

Varanasi, Nov 12 (UNI) An Air India Express flight from Mumbai to Varanasi made an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi on Wednesday after the crew alerted the pilot about finding a tissue paper with 'Bomb... Good Bye' written on it in the washroom of the flight, police said.
Security agencies were subsequently informed, sources added. After safely landing at the airport, all passengers were screened and the plane was thoroughly searched. No suspicious item was found, sources said, adding the matter is being further investigated.
A high alert was declared at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. A total of 176 passengers on board. The aircraft and passengers' luggage are being thoroughly checked by the bomb disposal squad.
