Texas, June 18 (UNI) England produced a dominant attacking display to defeat Croatia 4-2 in a pulsating FIFA World Cup Group Stage match at the AT&T Stadium here on Thursday, with captain Harry Kane scoring twice as the Three Lions moved a step closer to the knockout stages.
In front of a crowd of 70,389 spectators, England recovered from two Croatian equalisers to claim all three points in an entertaining contest that showcased the attacking quality of both teams.
England began brightly and were rewarded in the 12th minute when Kane calmly converted a penalty to give his side an early lead. The striker sent goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic the wrong way to register his first goal of the night and put Thomas Tuchel's men in control.
