England speedster Mark Wood  ruled out of action for four months

London, Mar 13 (UNI) England speedster Mark Wood is set to miss out on all forms of cricket for the next four months due to a knee injury.
Recent scans followed by a surgery have revealed ligament damage in his left knee, ruling him out of action for an extended period.
“I’m gutted to be out for so long after representing England across all formats since the start of last year,” Wood told ECB.

Chandigarh, Mar 27 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday said that with the concerted efforts of the government, the state will soon host several National and International level sporting events to give impetus to sporting culture in the state.
Addressing the gathering during a function to facilitate 1975 World Cup Winner Hockey Squad and cash prize to winners of the National Games, Khedan Watan Punjab Dian and Para Kheda Watan Punjab Dian, he said that he has raised this matter on several platforms and now it has started producing desired results.
