Trimpti Dimri likely to leave Aashiqui 3 starring Kartik Aaryan

Mumbai, Jan 9 (UNI) Bollywood actress Tripti Dimri, who was previously linked to the lead role in "Aashiqui 3" alongside Kartik Aaryan, is reportedly no longer part of the film.
The "Aashiqui" franchise, which began with Mahesh Bhatt's classic featuring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, has established itself as a timeless symbol of love and music in Indian cinema. The 2013 sequel, "Aashiqui 2" featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, was a monumental success. After the official announcement of "Aashiqui 3" two years ago, excitement soared as Kartik Aaryan and Tripti Dimri were expected to headline the film under the direction of Anurag Basu.
However, recent reports suggest that Tripti Dimri might have been dropped from the project. The actress received widespread acclaim for her performance in 2023 blockbuster "Animal", where she portrayed a negative character, showcasing her versatility and earning her the title of 'National Crush".
Despite her rising popularity, industry insiders speculate that the filmmakers are seeking an actress with a softer, more innocent appearance to align with the ethos of the "Aashiqui" franchise.
Additionally, rumours hint at production delays as another potential reason for Tripti's exit. While there is no official confirmation from the filmmakers, if Tripti remains on board, "Aashiqui 3" would mark her second collaboration with Kartik Aaryan after their recent success in "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3".
