Randeep Hooda is co-owner of archery team 'Prithviraj Yodhas'

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, along with his national-level archer wife Lin Laishram, is set to enter the sports arena as co-owner of Delhi's archery team, Prithviraj Yodhas.
The team is set to make its debut in the inaugural Archery Premiere League (APL), scheduled from October 2 to October 12, 2025, at the Yamuna Sports Complex here. The announcement was made in association with sports administrator Dr. Vikas Garg.
For Lin, this move isn't just a new business venture, but a return to the sport that shaped her childhood.
Inspired by her father, who was president of the Manipur Archery Association, Lin took up archery at the age of ten and competed in her first sub-junior national championship. She then trained at the Tata Archery Academy, winning numerous medals and becoming the junior national champion in 1998. Injuries forced her to step away from the sport, but her love for archery never waned.
Randeep Hooda said, "Archery has been a big part of Lin's life, and seeing her return to the sport in this way is heartwarming. Together, we want to support these talented athletes and bring archery closer to audiences across India. Leagues help expose young talent to international players and more competition, creating a larger talent pool to represent India internationally and win more competitions.”
Lin Laishram, co-owner of Prithviraj Yodhas, added, “Archery taught me so much, it gave me discipline, patience, and perseverance. Even though I had to leave competitive archery early, my love for the sport never went away.
"Now, to come back as a team owner and support young archers is a dream come true. I hope we can inspire more people, especially young girls, to pick up the bow and arrow and experience the joy of this sport,” she added. UNI NST SSP
