Aamir Khan announces offbeat spy adventure 'Happy Patel'

Mumbai, Dec 03 (UNI) Hindi star and filmmaker Aamir Khan has announced his next venture, 'Happy Patel', an offbeat espionage caper featuring Vir Das and Mona Singh in the lead.
The announcement was made by the Aamir Khan Productions, which was crafted in an unconventional and comedic style. In the video, Aamir appears genuinely perplexed by Vir's intentions for the film, questioning how action, romance and even an item number are supposed to fit into the narrative.
Aamir Khan Productions has always presented unique and innovative stories with great flair. After memorable films like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Dangal, and Secret Superstar, this film is another attempt to showcase unique cinema. Interestingly, this time he is working with stand-up comedian Vir Das, who has not only performed worldwide with his comedy specials but has also worked in films like Go Goa Gone, Badmaash Company, and Delhi Belly. This film marks Vir Das's second collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions after Delhi Belly.
'Happy Patel' is directed by Vir Das under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on January 16, 2026.
