Pop star Britney Spears hints at UK, Australia shows, avoids US stage

Los Angeles, Jan 11 (UNI) Nearly five years after the end of her conservatorship, Britney Spears has revealed that she has no plans to perform in the United States again, reports Deadline.
While praising her son’s musical abilities and expressing a desire to share the stage with him one day, the Grammy-winning singer clarified that any future performances would not take place in the US. Instead, she hinted at possible appearances in the UK or Australia “very soon.”
“Sending this piano to my son this year!!!” Spears wrote while sharing a photo from her performance at the 29th American Music Awards in 2002.
“Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…”
She went on to explain her decision more directly, adding, “I will never perform in the US again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon. He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!”
According to Deadline, Spears has previously shared clips of her son Jayden showcasing his piano skills. She shares Jayden and her older son, Sean, with her former husband, Kevin Federline.
While a return to the US stage appears unlikely, fans can still anticipate a major project centered on the pop star.
A biopic directed by Jon M. Chu and based on her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me is currently in development. Chu has previously said that Spears will be “very involved” in bringing her story to the screen.
