'Meher' is like Geet from 'Jab We Met', Anjana Sukhani shares interesting aspects of her character

Mumbai, June 16 (UNI) Actress Anjana Sukhani says her character 'Meher' in the film 'Main Wapas Aaunga' is very much like 'Geet' from Imtiaz Ali's popular 2007 film 'Jab We Met'.
Sharing her memories and experiences related to the recently released Imtiaz Ali-directed film, Sukhani revealed that her involvement with the film began with a phone call.
Said thr 47-year-old actress, "How many actors can say they're part of an Imtiaz Ali film? I was first asked for an introductory video. Later, when I met him, he probably saw Meher in me. He told me about the character, and I had no questions. Who was I to say no to Imtiaz Ali?"
Talking about her character, Sukhani said Meher has many similarities with Geet from Jab We Met. She said, "Like Geet, Meher also speaks her mind without hesitation. Imtiaz Ali's female characters are intelligent and full of innocence. Meher often says things at the wrong time, things she shouldn't, but that's what makes her interesting and lovable."
Sukhani also described her experience working with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah as special. She said, "Whenever I did a scene with him, his acting would bring tears to my eyes. Watching him perform is a lesson in itself."
Praising her co-star Diljit Dosanjh, Anjana said he is a very honest and dedicated actor.
The film also features Vedang Raina and Sharvari Wagh. UNI NST SSP
