Environmental protection is not just the responsibility of the govt or administration: NGT Judge

Varanasi, Jun 11 (UNI) Dr Afroz Ahmed, Member/Judge of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Principal Bench, New Delhi, stated on Thursday that environmental protection is not just the responsibility of the government or administration, but the responsibility of every citizen.
He said that the environment and the economy are interconnected, and prioritizing environmental protection is essential for sustainable development.
A review meeting was held in the Circuit House auditorium under the chairmanship of Dr Afroz Ahmed, regarding compliance with the orders passed by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and the work being done for environmental protection in Varanasi.
