Ex-Japanese Minister Masharu Nakagawa bats for Intl Solidary Tax to combat climate change

Hyderabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Former Japanese Minister Masaharu Nakagawa on Saturday advocated for innovative funding mechanisms such as an international solidarity tax under the UN to combat climate change.
Speaking on the second day of the Bharat Summit here, he emphasised the importance of involving young people in the development of future climate policies.
The session titled ‘Accelerating Climate Justice’ was attended by former Nigerian diplomat and UN official Oseloka Obaze; New Zealand MP Megan Woods; Guatemalan politician Roman Castellanos; youth leader Jessali Zarazua; and Masaharu Nakagawa.
