New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) A gym reportedly owned by popular playback singer Guru Randhawa came under fire in Delhi's Paschim Vihar area early Thursday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to police, a PCR call was received at Paschim Vihar East Police Station regarding a firing incident at "24 Hs Fitness" Gym located in Pushkar Enclave, Paschim Vihar.
Initial investigation revealed that two unidentified assailants arrived on a motorcycle with their faces covered and fired several rounds at the gym's glass facade before fleeing the spot. No one sustained any injuries during the attack.
Meanwhile, a social media post allegedly issued by gangster Anil Pandit of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the firing. The post also alleged that the attack was carried out over the gym owner's alleged closeness to actor Salman Khan. Police have not officially verified these claims.
"Local and district police have taken swift action, and appropriate legal proceedings are being initiated. Multiple teams have been formed to identify, track, and apprehend the accused persons at the earliest," a police officer said.
Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
