Five lakh beneficiaries of Ladki Bahin Yojana excluded from scheme: Maha minister

Mumbai, Feb 7 (UNI) In an important update regarding the Ladki Bahin Yojana, which had become a game-changer in recent Maharashtra Assembly election, Women & Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said on Friday that five lakh women in the state have been excluded from this scehme.
In a post on social media platform X, he said that as per the government decision dated June 28, 2024, and July three, 2024, women who become ineligible are being excluded from the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
A total of five lakh ineligible women have been excluded from the Ladki Bahin Yojana such as 2.30 lakh women beneficiaries of Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, 1.10 lakh women above 65 years of age and 1.60 lakh women who have a four-wheeler vehicle in the name of family members or beneficiaries of Namoshakti Yojana have voluntarily withdrawn from the scheme.

Norms for killing aggressive leopards, tigers to be relaxed soon: Minister Ganesh Naik

Prohibitory order in force in Kolhapur till Dec 22
