Five shops gutted in Haryana's Rohtak after suspected AC compressor blast

Chandigarh, Jun 9 (UNI) A major fire broke out in a commercial area of Haryana's Rohtak on Tuesday after an air-conditioner compressor allegedly exploded inside a footwear showroom, triggering a blaze that rapidly spread to several adjoining establishments, officials said.
The incident occurred near D-Park, one of the city's busy commercial zones. According to initial information, the fire originated in a shoe showroom during the afternoon hours and soon engulfed four neighbouring shops, resulting in a large-scale emergency response.
Firefighters rushed to the scene shortly after receiving information about the blaze. As the flames intensified, additional fire tenders were deployed, with at least nine vehicles engaged in efforts to bring the situation under control. Rescue teams worked continuously to prevent the fire from spreading further in the densely populated market area.
