Fuel supply resumes in Manipur as petroleum dealers call off agitation

Imphal, Jan 13 (UNI) Oil depots across Manipur reopened from Tuesday after the Manipur Petroleum Dealers’ Fraternity decided to call off its agitation following what it described as a positive response from the authorities to its demands related to highway security and movement of fuel tankers.
The decision was announced at a press conference held at the Manipur Press Club here.
The fraternity said the government had responded favourably to its three-point charter of demands, which primarily focused on ensuring the safety of petroleum dealers and uninterrupted transportation of fuel along national highways.
