Full dress rehearsal for state-level Republic day celebration in Ranchi

Ranchi, Jan 24 (UNI ) The full dress rehearsal for the state-level Republic Day celebration, scheduled to be held on January 26, 2026, was successfully conducted on Friday at Morhabadi Ground as part of the final preparations for the national event.
The rehearsal was organised under the supervision of Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Ranchi, and Rakesh Ranjan, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi. The exercise was aimed at ensuring the seamless execution of all arrangements related to the state-level ceremony.
During the rehearsal, all programmes to be held on Republic Day were carried out on a real-time basis to avoid any shortcomings during the main function. The Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police inspected the parade and took the salute during the march-past. They also addressed the participating contingents and issued necessary instructions to ensure discipline, coordination and precision during the ceremony.

Agartala, Feb 10 (UNI) union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Tripura on February 20, ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections scheduled for April.
Shah’s visit is considered crucial as the ruling BJP and TIPRA Motha are in loggerheads over dominance of power in the ADC area, where leaders of both parties have indicated to fight the election separately, which appeared to be most inconvenient for the BJP in the tribal areas.
